Hi,
Apologies first - I've no doubt this query has been answered elsewhere on here, but I'm struggling to find a straight answer, so I'm hoping a new post might help....
Could someone let me know whether my GPS (Galaxy S2) should be able to find a lock when not connected to any data source (wifi/3G etc) - I appreciate that most map applications will not cache info and so will need a data source to be able to provide an image, but, surely, if I have a map/city guide downloaded, the GPS should be able to use the downloaded map - shouldn't it - or am completely wrong? For some reason mine can't... I was abroad over the weekend with a map which had a 'use my location' function, but the GPS would never lock - the GPS will only ever lock if I'm connected via my provider or wifi.
Thanks in advance for your help.
