Hi guys,

I have my samsung for two weeks now and I'm really enjoying it so far. But i stumbled unto a problem just now. I used the 'maps application' a couple of times and except for being a bit slow and the gps not always working it was nice. But now for some reason it doesn't open at all. The only thing I see is the grid forming for a second or so and then it disappears. I have the advanced task killer, and it shows that it's not running in the background either. I hope someone can help?!

Try restart your device.

Did you do/change any settings or installed any apps before this happened?

Try settings-->applications-->manage applications press the menu button and change the filter to show all apps. Search google maps in the list and click on clear data (and if highlighted click on wipe cache, too) that should fix it

Nope clearing didn't help, still the same. I was a weekend out of the country, but I don't remember changing anything, nor installing anything.

I tried to open the navigator now, and the message i got was:
The application Maps (proces com.google.android.apps.maps) unexpectedly stopped. Try again. (roughly translated)
And no, trying again didn't work..Crying

One last try... Go on the computer download adb tools. Turn on usb debugging on ur phone and connect it via usb. Open command line on ur pc and type in "adb reboot recovery" without quotes. Ur phone should reboot now. From the menu that appears on it choose "wipe cache" using the volume buttons to scroll up and down and the hardware button in the middle to choose. May help, but i think u wont come around a hardware reset
