Hey all,

I have a Galaxy S Vibrant (on Bell Canada). The touch screen is wonky. I'm hoping it's a software error. I have a video on YouTube that hopefully explains the issue better than what I can write here.

I post it here because I'm wondering if anyone has any similar issues.

Thanks,

 - G.

Hmmm ...First time seeing this.

Is the corner dented or just some reflection?

Did any liquid got on your device?

Just a reflection.

Also, no liquid that I'm aware of, either...

I have a Bell phone as well. Hopefully a hard reset will do the trick for you. Wouldn't this new a warranty deal?

Hey again,

I factory reset my device and it didn't have an effect. I'm convinced that it's a hardware issue now. I'm going to take it into my Bell store for an exchange if they have any left...

I also posted a follow-up video.

Thanks,

I brought it in for an exchange. Totally worked. No problem with doing that at all because it was still within the 30 day initial period. The new phone works fine. Also, I bought an 8 gig memory card for it while I was at the Mall.  Big Grin

Good to hear that they're supporting the phone. I really enjoy mine. I just put a gadget shieldz on so it looks like crap while I'm waiting for it to dry.

 Crying

I have the same issue. At least, I know now that is a kind of common issue. Question, this issue is happening in several cases or only few really unlucky guys (like me)?  hehe...

On the other side, does the cell phone that has the issue is an unlocked one?

I need to know since i am wondering if I should try to get it fixed or actually, ask for a replacement.

So far, I've only know of two cases, three including yours.

Go for a replacement, don't try to do anything yourself.

Claim to Samsung, demand for a new unit.

Hi guys,
My phone started to behave strangely too. Notice the right side of the screen is behaving like it's being touched, making the phone to access everything on that side. I didn't solve the problem no matter what I did - uninstalling applications, reset to factory default, etc... nothing. Observe in the video at the minute 1:25 I opened Paint application and observed how the screen started to click on the right side... I will send the phone in service and wait for their response.

I am having the same problem. The bottom left of my screen keeps on pressed. It is a shame coz i dont think i have a warrantty thingie with me and phone is around 5 months old now.
I think its a hardware issue.
Any idea ... can i go to samsung .. will it be useful ?

In this thread the user updated the button firmware on the i9000M (Bell Galaxy S Vibrant) and it resolved his button troubles. Worth a shot.
