Recently one of my friend upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S phone from 2.1 to 2.3 Gingerbread. Ever since that day , my phone started to hang up very frequently. I have no other options than to take out the battery and restart the phone. Im not sure if this problem is because of the direct upgrade from 2.1 to 2.3 or some sort of software malfunction. How do i solve this problem?
Before the update i have some very useful applications in my phone but all of these are gone after the update. So now is there any way i can backup all of my applications before the upgrade so that i can retrieve it after the upgrade. In this way i dont have to go the market and search for those applications and install it again.
Please comment.
Hi,
1. first of all you should back up your data using "Titanium Backup" or "MyBackup".
You can grab both from "Market".
2. Do a hard reset: Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.
(After flashing a new ROM, the first thing is Factory Reset.)
