Hey everyone, I just got a Galaxy S 4G from T-Mobile, problem is the internal memory is pretty much full right out of the box, I know you guys must have a solution to this. BTW I tried moving as much as I can to the SD card as well. Hate to ask this question in a public forum, but would rooting and installing a custom ROM be the answer at this point ?

Full out of the box? I don't see how it's possible for your carrier or samsung to fill up 16gb with stock system apps. Try backing everything up and doing a factory reset. That should give you a clean slate to work with.

Not the Mini SD although i'm working on getting a 32 GB one  for this reason, the internal memory very limited all of the whopping 514 MB of the APP Space is nearly full, and the worst part is not all of the apps stored locally can be moved to SD

Oh it's the RAM you're talking about. Ok. That's normal. Sytem and apps take up most of the ram. If you want more control over it, I suggest you look into task or ram managers.
