Yea I just experienced that issue myself...my phone is not rooted and I save my apps to the SD card. I clearly have enough space on both the internal memory and sd card...what the heck? lol

Ok I did some quick googling..apparently if you delete the marketplace cache  and clear the data from the applications menu it will let you download...it worked for me anyways. Hopefully this helps everyone out

Thanks for the reply.

I cleared the market app cache, then cleared the data.  tried didn't work.

I then restarted, cleared all data again, still failed.  Booted into stock Samsung recover and cleared system cache and it still gives me the issue.  "insufficient space on the device" error.

When i go to "SD car and phone storage" from settings, I have 292MB of available space.

Were you able to successfully install Third Blade?

Hi guys,

seems like there are lots of problem with this new market.  Sad Anyway i read from other forums and people from there do have some recommendations to solve this issue. But I don't understand several methods thus I didnt proceed with their solutions to prevent further damnage to my market. Meanwhile, you guys can check this out. Hope it helps.

I also had this annoying issue for several days, and found that the problem is caused by the new Android Market, as some people have mentioned above. I read some of the solutions mentioned in the link above, but found something a lot quicker. The idea is to return to the old Market and stop it from updating itself. Just go to the app manager and uninstall the Market Update. Then, using Titanium, freeze the Market Updater.apk. That solved the issue for me. Smile

It's because of /cache partition.
Download and flash a Semaphore kernel!

I tried this method and it worked for me.

For those who want to go back to the old market, follow the instructions below:
Go to Settings->Manage Applications and click on All.
Then scroll down to Market and select it.
Select Uninstall updates
Enjoy!
Although I really liked the looks of the new market, the old one is much faster and I haven't encountered the "There is insufficient space on the device" error message.
