Having problems with my Hotmail account.  I delete messages from the phone but not the Hotmail server for a variety of reasons.  Messages reappear as new, days after being deleted from the phone.  I do not forward or sync with Gmail so have no idea why these keep reappearing.  This morning, I received 23 messages that were previously deleted from the phone as new messages.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

What app are you using to retrieve hotmail messages?

Peace.

Well I am not sure about the 4G's default mail client, but if it's anything like the vanila mail client I urge you to unregister your account.

Download K-9 Mail from Market, and Enjoy hassle free mail.

Make sure you goto settings -> More -> Settings - > Account settings -> Fetching Mail -> When I delete a Message -> Delete From Server.

Maybe you would like MailDroid better as it has native support for hotmail.

Peace.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how do I delete the Hotmail account from the phone.  User manual tells you how to add but not delete.  Looked everywhere but cannot find.

Thanks

Found out how in another post.  For those looking to do this, just hold your finger on the account that you want to delete.  A menu pops up with an option to remove the account.  It is that easy.  Too bad it takes so long to find out how.

Repped. For using search and then sharing the information for others to find.

I would like to know if the problem is solved, to further help other people with similar problems.

Peace.

What I did was delete the Hotmail account and forward all the Hotmail emails to Gmail.  So far, no duplications that way but time will tell.
