It didn't take long. My screen is cracked! The blessing in disguise is that it's just the "window" layer whilst the touchscreen and the actual screen works perfectly. I'm not sure how it got cracked but I think it must have been when i was carrying a heavy item as the phone was in the pocket and the item probably hit it with one of its corners. The initial/source of the crack is on the bottom part by the buttons.
Now about fixing it...I can only assume the warranty doesn't cover it? What "scares" me is that I've looked at two Galaxy S teardowns but none of the videos actually remove the window/glass. They stop the teardown with the front part as one piece. Would probably be quite expensive to get it fixed if they have to replace the SAMOLED display as well (if they cannot seperate it), right?
I'm a student and not made of out money so if anyone knows what people usually do with cracked screens please enlighten me. Worst case scenario I'll have to keep it this way for a while >_<
Thanks in advance
