Good Morning all,
I have an SCH-I500 running a 2.6.29 kernel.  I sync to an exchange server at the office for contacts, calendar, and email.  I have nitrodesk touchdown installed for the added functionality of alarms from particular emails, but have isolated it as NOT the problem.

I have contacts with multiple phone numbers.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason, but when I start dialing the contacts number, the contact appears.  Sporatically, however, when I select the contact, the phone may or may not show me the additional numbers.

Obviously the desired result would be for the device to show all numbers, allowing me to pick which one I want.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,

Are you syncing the contacts?

if so with what are you syncing it? When you say Exchange Server do you mean Microbloat?

If so then that is the problem. Outlook doesn't like Contact Cards with more than 2 numbers and just kills them off or eats them. And does so on it's own whim.

If you have selected Keep synced on both sides from the Exchange server.

It will slowly make all your contacts to have only two numbers.

Now I can suggest Google's contact backup, only if you understand that you are giving your details to Google. Well by using your phone you don't know what else they log. If you are comfortable with it. Set your contacts to be stored on your Gmail account.

Peace.

Thank you for the reply.  I am indeed syncing with Exchange -- the server side of outlook.  However, I assure you that the numbers are in my contacts in Exchange just fine.  They are even on the phone just fine.  But as I type the contacts name on the dial pad, and it selects a contact with multiple numbers, It will sporatically decide on a single number to show and not allow me to pick others.

Some Notes:

I am in the dial app -- not contacts

It does find the contact.

If I look the contact up in contacts, then it shows both numbers.

thanks for your assistance.

Yes, if you type a contact from the Dialpad, it'll give you only the first (top) number of that contact.

Actually it will automatically dial the last number dialed to that contact.

Peace.
