Can't Get My Galaxy S to Root!

Hi,

I am an admitted n00b, but I am fairly adept at using a computer.

Anyway, I want to root my phone, and have tried the manual process as well as the one click process, using both my 64 bit Windows 7 PC and my Mac.

Every time I try to apply update.zip, I get an error (code 7).

It seems pretty straightforward, but for some reason, it won't take.

The phone is an I9000M (2.1-update1) Eclair UGJH2 on Bell Canada.

Edit:  I googled and found aonther Bell user that had the same problem.  He posted that he was able to root it with RyanZA's OCLF 2.0 app from the market.  I downloaded it and it worked perfectly. Not sure what the difference is, but it is now rooted.
