Hi everybody

I just got an official update to Android 2.3.6 for my Galaxy plus.

After Update everything is fine except one thing! The phone doesn't remember the arrangement of Icons in Menu. I spend minutes and arrange them and after some time or a reboot the order changes. The Icons are scattered in 7-8 pages, in most of them only a few apps.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Ok, I figured out what's going on!

It arranges the pre-installed apps alphabetically and adds the newly installed ones after them in order of installation time.

The problem is, it does not save my desired arrangement. It keeps it for some time and then goes back to alphabetical automatically or after restart!

Anyone?
Am I the only one having this problem?!!!!

Hi Mate

I also had this problem and could not figure it out.
I downloaded the appzorter app and with one click
it was all sorted.
Not sure if they will stay in order but so far so good.
Hope this helps

Cheers

Thanks f1webber.
I am waiting for a non-app solution for this issue but I think eventually I will have to use this app.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

Same problem (and I'm on ICS)

Solution:
Show your apps in a list (not matrix). Apps now will be sorted alphabetically.
