This is the first major floor I've found with the Galaxy, not to have an alarm sound option for calendar events is a shame on Samsung. Its a smart phone?? how smart was it to not include this function??

Not happy I need an alarm for work. Embarrased

Get Fliq Calender from the store. You can programm many reminders for the same event. Try.

Will this sync with the calendar or do I need to set up new reminders?

I downloaded Calendar Snooze Which so far has worked a treat. I will do a bit more research on it and maybe supply a review when I have time.

For 'droid 2.1, Calendar Snooze works just fine.
Free version has max of 6 hours snooze.  (Good Grief, you want more?? lol - buy the full version.)

I now know why there have been so few solutions to this calendar alarm problem ......

The problem has been fixed in droid 2.2 - just choose any sound in the Notifications directory - or add your own, including mp3 files.  Should have been that way from the start.

- When I create an event from the calendar and I set the alarm for that event, I get just a notification but not the alarm.

- I have another question: when I set a wake up alarm with a smart alarm, it rings with the normal ring tone but not with the smart alarm tone.

Just for curiosity: if I try to set "Alarm type" from "Sound" in "Set alarm" menĂ¹ it opens a window with: Melody, Vibration, Vibration and melody, Voice. Which is the difference between theese settings, in particular Melody and Voice?

Thanks!

There the alarm works fine enough. Only try - nothing to loose...

Greetings
