I'm in a panic, I have my resume out to a bunch of people - and my phone just started screwing up this morning! It is essentially useless and I don't have any other phone...ugh!
It is the Samsung GalaxyS, sgh-I897, with ATT, firmware 2.2
Out of the blue, any time that I call someone or they call me, the phone clicks, then I can't hear them and they can't hear me.
The screen says nothing at all about it going to mute, it looks like a normal phone call - without the ability to hear the other person or them hearing you.
My face, cheek, hair, dirt, nothing at all is touching the screen and it still does this.
It does this even after I put the phone into screen-lock.
It does this even when I try using my blue-tooth.
The phone hasn't been dropped, or thrown or anything out of the ordinary than usual usages.
I've removed the battery and restarted, it still does it, I've turned off auto rotation, and it still does it.
I've sat perfectly still without even touching the phone while trying to make a call and it still does it - if lucky you get a couple words out to the other person, then click, and it is still connected to them but they can't hear you and you can't here them.
Any help or ideas are really appreciated.
