Hi guys, l recently installed the Startup Cleaner 2.0 on my Samsung Galaxy S i9000.
It's an app designed to let you control what system processes and apps start when  you boot your phone.

I picked what l thought was non-essential to the phone's operation such as Paypal app and disabled those apps upon boot.

Made sure to leave all android stuff alone and everything else l wasn't sure of.

On the next boot l noticed my call button, message button and contact button were missing from the bar at the bottom. Also the following message displayed: "Process system not responding" with the options to Force close or Wait.

No matter which option l picked, the contacts, messaging and phone buttons are still missing. l am unable to make calls, send messages and view my contacts, even after uninstalling the app.

I tried soft reset, rebooting several times, nothing works. My phone company suggests l should hard reset, don't want to do that, I'm sure there's something l overlooked, PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have the Phone, Contacts & Messaging icons in the app drawer?

Maybe you should try reinstalling everything you removed (like the Paypal app), if you remember them. Or, if they are only disabled, maybe there's a way to enable them again. Good luck!

Try using Tips #13 from here to move the Phone icon back into the dock.

How about Contacts and Messaging? Please search through all the pages in app drawer.

Thanks! Using step 13 I was able to place the missing icons back in the task bar. However once I restarted the phone, the icons disappeared again. So now l can go to the apps icon, go to edit, and drag the icons in the task back. I shouldn't have to keep doing this all the time. IMHO, twlauncher needs to be uninstalled and re-installed. Anyone know of where l could "barcodescan" it from??

 HUH?

Let's try something else...

Goto [Settings] > [Applications] > [Manage applications], tap on the Menu button, then [Filter] and select the radio button for [All]. Scroll to and select TwLauncher, clear its Data and Cache.
Restart your Galaxy.

See This Example.

Actually step 13 solved the problem. I had omitted to do all the steps and click menu and save. Thanks to all who replied to this topic! Happy
