Hi. I am from Norway, however today I arrived in the UK to start at the Swansea University. At Heathrow Airport, I met with representatives from the universities, they gave me a package which included a sim-card that had 15 free minutes so I could call home and tell them I made it alright and all that. However as I put it in, and tried to use it, it locked the phone with the following message:
This phone is tracked because it's lost or stolen.
YOUR phone number has been logged and sent to the owner, .
You can return the phone by calling one of the following numbers: .
"Log in to unlock the phone"
What????
The Pin and PUK does not work. Neither does the standard 1111, 1234, 12345,0000 or 00000.
What can I do? First day here, and I cannot use my cellphone. I cannot get into other people's hallways or houses without contacting them as all hallways have their own keycards. So to socialice, I MUST have a phone. This is a small crisis going on here!
I have contacted both my operators (bought it with one, though uses another simcard) but they probably won't respond in a long time as usual. I cannot call, I cannot read messanges, I cannot check my contacts. I can't do anything else than checking the clock! I can't even put on an alarm so that I will wake up in time tomorrow.
Please do help!
