Yep I see lots of bullsh*t coming our way... they are announcing it big time, and yet if I call either samsung or my company support, none of them got any idea about when its being released... even tho the release date is here... Yay!

I can't believe they still haven't done it yet, LOL, they might as well jump straight to gingerbread.

My UK Froyo download went great on my Aussie Galaxy, but even after applying two lag fixes, the lag, bugs and other annoyances got too much so I bought a Dell Streak.

I now have Froyo on my Streak, the Galaxy went to Ebay and I haven't looked back since.

Might try Samsung again with the Galaxy 2. But they have proven again they have no idea when it comes to Software.

I hate to disagree on that but have you seen Bada OS. That is a masterpiece IMHO.

I don't know why they messed up with Android, but I guess it has something to do with google and carrier negotiations and contracts.

Still we as consumer should not have to understand this. It is their problem.

It just sucks to see such a device get pwned by the OS.

HUH? Why what was the problem.

I havn't personally used the phone, but everything I hear about it says good things I tried the phone out, but my main concern was that It is a relatively new OS and I don't know the long term support  for it. Android seemed the better pick due to it having a bigger developer community. But I have nothing bad to say about Bada OS.

Cheers mate, Queenslander here too!

I sold my Froyo Galaxy S but my Wife's is still stock Optus Eclaire so will have to update that now too! But I won't do it until Samsung update their Facebook S! App as it's soooo much better than the standard Android one.

I saw the official notice from Optus/ Virgin today that Froyo is finally officially released.

Thanks for posting your news.

The Delay you are talking about is most likely not from Samsung, it is more likely that the delay is caused by your government and the telecom operator fiddling away on fine tuning the Update the way they want it to be.

Peace.

The reason I say that is because. 2.2.1 group released for the uk, has slovenian, and slovencia.

So I doubt that the reason they haven't released it is of language support.

Peace.
