Great News:


As you can see Samsung is busy with Android 2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S (I9000). A few Galaxy S users will get the Froyo Update on End of September and Others will be During October in Different dates according to their own regions (as listed Below).

 



Android 2.2 Release Dates for Samsung Galaxy S:

 

T-Mobile on End September (28-30/9).

Samsung Benelux Begin on Mid October (15-20/10).

Samsung Spain end of October (25-30/10).

Samsung India end of October (25-30/10).

Samsung Polish end of October (25-30/10).

Samsung Europe end of October (25-30/10).

Samsung USA on November.

T-Mobile USA on November.

 So, ... today is 27, according to this calendar three more days and we should have the new update (Froyo) in our hands...

well... another lie from Samsung, now I think the update will take place somewhere at the end of November, I'm pretty sure will be in 2011, and Froyo will be obsolete jajajaja...

I'm in Australia and I think I have a UK version of Froyo from the Kies reg edit.
I do ook forward to having a proper Australian supported Froyo image on though.

Hi everybody, today I just got a reply from samsung that froyo will be out for my region (slovakia) on 17.12.2010 or maybe sooner, but only for the unbranded version, the branded ones will have to wait a little longer...

Update available in Holland via the latest Kies as of 7th November,

Apps, contacts and setting survived, as did call log,

I had to reset my screens as the apps had reverted to the default layout.

Looks good, start-up feels faster, and GPS is working at last, now I know where I live  Smile

Worth waiting for, haven't tried Flash 10 yet, but I'm sure I'll get the opportunity soon.

Cool.I am now on JPA build. I didnt think it was as fast as JP6 so I hit it with Voodoo and OCLF and it flies again now. Happy to have HTML email in Samsung Mail via the updated Social Hub.

Now if only Samsung will male a Froyo version of Facebook S life would be grand!

I got this reply from Samsung Support on the 15th November after asking about the Aussie Release

"Froyo 2.2 has not been released in Australia just yet, this is why you are being advised it cannot be updated, it is expected to be released later this week or early next week and will be updatable via Samsung Kies.
