The galaxy s 2 was a rumour phone based on patent requests.

Turns out that the patent request was for the nexus s not the galaxy s.

Peace.

Not at all. The S2 is the new flagship and boyo it's sweet. I watched the announcement at Barcelona. Nice. Enterprise security, the credit card chip thing, google translate built into the vlingo app, 4 hubs, newest is the Games hub. The only thing they have to do is integrate an external charging system so you can charge without having to plug anything in. You'll have to recharge frequently unless they've introduced a new secret battery along with their new processor.

By the time it gets to NA I'll be ready for a new phone Cool

It's running the new Orion Chipset.

The Orion is capable of 2Ghz this is what I was talking about 1 Ghz is going to be the sweet spot for mobile phones for a while.

But yeah they gave it a more IPhone 4 look, what I am wondering is why is the Device not a convex like the Nexus S.

I also just found out that the Nexus S doesn't have a Gorilla Glass.

Bummer.

Peace.

I'm afraid to ask how you found out. Will you upgrade when the S2 becomes available? I don't mind the iPhone look as many people seem to think that's what they want and the look is attractive enough.  Hard to make a slab look different.

Lol. Don't worry I didn't break my Nexus S yet, still pristine.

I read it online after I noticed the S2 isn't Curved like the Nexus.

Turns out that Gorilla Glass can't be curved ?!?

S2 looks real sweet, I am inclined but I just got the Nexus S.

I will wait, seeing how Samsung operates they will probably release a few more variants before settling on a flagship.

I don't think the S2 is the flagship. Judging from my XDA discussions in Nexus S forum 2.3 seems will soon be replaced with 2.4

What I don't get is if that is true why release the S2 with a buggy OS.

I have faced the problem where when talking on the phone the phone reboots. It seems to be very random. I talked on the phone for almost 30 mins and there was no problem then when I was on the phone for 6 mins it went off on me.

It's only happened 2wice since I got it, so I am not jumping up and down about it but I guess since it's a google phone now I will get the update directly from google soon.

Peace.
