I deleted all songs from sd card so there was no music in player or music file.  Reloaded old songs and some new ones on sd card.  All music is in my music folder, but when I go to music player it only shows the old songs the way they were originally.  All songs are MP3.  I have downloaded other players and other scanners but the new music still doesnt show up but is in the music file and will play from there.  Help

Are you using the stock music app? You should have an option to "add music to library".

If it's not stock, uninstall and then reinstall.

Or, locate the music app in APPLICATIONS (within SETTINGS) and force stop and clear data. Reboot the phone and try again. It may also be wise to disable and then re-enable.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.
