Using a Samsung Galaxy S - firmware 2.2.

Set up Exchange for my work emails.  I can receive and send emails OK.  The problem is when someone sends me an email to my Exchange account I can read it fine.  When I select reply, type and send my message, the recipient receives my message with <br> tags displayed. Instead of showing a space or return, they see: text<br>text<br>.  This only happens on my Exchange account - gmail is fine.  Anyone have any ideas what I can try?  I looked at my Exchange account settings to see if I could find a selection for plain text/html, but couldn't find a setting anywhere. Thank you.

I'm experiencing the same problem.  Did you find a resolution?  Thx.

I was contacted by Galaxy Support and told that I would need to install a third party app.  After trying a few I settled on Touchdown by Nitrodesk.  I had tried Enhanced Email but when I tried to install it I received an error that is was not supported by my phone.  Also tried K-9 - and wasn't fond of the layout of the program and it was a little glitchy on my phone. My suggestion is to look for an app that has a free trial period to make sure it has the features you are looking for and can be installed on the Galaxy.  I think it's unacceptable that the Samsung Galaxy does not work with Exchange and I had to purchase a $20 app to make it work.  But, alas, my work emails are too important to be struggling everyday to read and reply to them. Touchdown has worked very well.

Touchdown is both good and not so good.  The good is - it was the best Exchange program I tried.  Does everything I need it to do.  The bad is it is a battery draining program.  There may be some settings somewhere to change, but I really haven't spent too much time trying to figure that out.  I keep it plugged in while in the car, while at my desk at work, and while at home.  Not ideal, but it works for me.  I highly recommend utilizing their free trial period and seeing if it works for you. This should not have been that difficult to solve. It shouldn't have even been a problem - but it is, so be aware if you use Exchange. Try the free trials before purchasing and make sure a program works for you before purchasing.

Touchdown rocks. i have not seen it sucking my battery....anymore than the phone, alone does. SGS battery life sucks, regardless. you can dig into the Touchdown app and fiddle with the "peak time" settings and that might help with battery use. Rots-O-Ruck.
