Hi,

Me newbie!!

I have had my SGS for 3 months now.  Last night I applied the Froyo 2.2 update and it appears to have gone well except for one thing:

I cannot get into my Contact List!

It is not on the Home Page and if I go to Phone then Contacts it beeps then goes blank then comes up with the following msg:

Sorry! The application Phone (process com.sec.android.app.dialertab) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please try again.   and after I hit the Force Close button, it closes.  When I try again, it comes up with the same msg.

If I go into MyFiles and then the external sd, then Others then Contacts, I can see my Contacts listed as a .vcf but am unable to get into them.

Back at the Home Page then Phone, then Favourites, my most common numbers used are listed there and I can also use the quickdial keys to bring up some of the names in that listing.

But I just cant't get into the phone book!  Any ideas?

Thanks!  Much appreciated!

P.

Hi Casz,

Thanks for that tip!  Tried that and no luck - still no phone book and as a result of the reset I have also lost those Favourites and the call log!  Great!

I can't add New Contact either......entered a phone number and then tried to Add it as a New Contact...same msg as before.   After calling my home number, I then found the dialled number in the Call Log but again, unable to add to Phone Book as a New Contact.

What now?
