I just hooked up my Galaxy S.  I was supplied a work phone here in Thailand, but I didnt want to carry 2 phones, so I had them put a unlimited GPRS package on the account and put the Sim card into the SGS.  I did this on Tuesday.

Yesterday I started to play around with the phone, seem to work awesome.  I added my 3 email accounts to the phone, 1 Gmail, 1 Hotmail (Pop3) and 1 Business (Exchange).  The internet worked fine, apps worked fine and the updates seemed to work fine as well.

This morning (1 day later) I had connection issues.  The exchange email would not connect to server, gmail would not connect either, internet give server connection fail and apps and updates do not work.  However, hotmail still works fine.

So Im looking for suggestions on where to trouble shoot.  I have tried looking thru menus and seeign if I checked something off I should not have.

At first I was thinking this is a provider issue, because I basically can not connect to the internet, but the hotmail is still working.  So my line of thinking is the phone is working cause it is obviously connecting via GPRS.

But now Im starting to think it might be the phone, because why would the provider cut me off from everything put a POP3 connection.

Any thoughts?

That is odd.

What happens when you connect via wifi?

If via gprs, can you try out all the accounts individually? For example, try enabling gmail and disabling the rest or exchange only, for example. Let's try isolating the issue.

I do not have access to WiFi at the moment.  I did remove my work email, I thought maybe that could be the issue cause when you set it up, they have a remote administrator to force you to use the number pin instead of the trace unlock.  So I thought maybe they did some sort of settings change.

Im about to back up my data and do a soft reset.

Update:
So I decided to do a soft reset (I think its called a soft reset when you use the feature from the Privacy section?).  It fixed my problem and I just needed to put everything back to how I got it.  I just got the phone, so I was customizing everything.

I never mentioned this, but I installed a few apps the night before, so maybe it was one of those apps that changed a setting or something.

On another note, I notice when you push and hold the power button you get a few choices, one of them being a Data Mode On/Off switch.  If I have this off then I get no GPRS connectivity, I just want to make sure that this is what its for and that its new with Froyo, cause I never noticed it before.
