So I just performed a firmware update on my Galaxy S GT i9000 (I got all excited thinking it was froyo but it ended up only being '2.1-update 1' anyway).

Now the phone seems to have been restored to factory default. All my data is gone.  Sad The weird thing is when I connect the phone to my PC in mass storage mode everything is right there. Every single file that was on there before the update (photos, videos apps etc) is still being stored on the internal sd card but I just cant access them directly from the phone itself, only through my computer.  HUH?  How do I fix this?

thanks

Welcome:D  Please check out the forum rules. Also check out the how to thread for some great tips or use the search function so see if someone’s asked your question before.

I did search because I remember seeing this problem before but it may have been on a different website. In any case I would do a factory reset (see the how to thread).
