What I did was this: In Kies > tools > preferences, untick the box with start Kies when you connect your device. Close Kies. Connect your phone to computer. Wait until the autoplay box appears then open device to view files. Start Kies. I have had no problems now and Kies even connects to my Samsung Galaxy S2 with the MicroSD card with files on it inserted, seemingly a known problem. But in Kies it shows connecting.... and nothing is happening. Please help. There are plenty of techniques as the people on here will tell you. However, I updated with Kies to 2.3.3 and since then, not been able to connect to Kies...
