Hi All

I know that the Kies/Galaxy S connectivity question has been raised a million times but I have a slightly different one.

After spending a good month or so trying to get it to connect to Kies, I have finally managed to get my phone connected and begun the Firmware upgrade.

However, upon Kies placing my phone into Download Mode (my phone won't go into download mode any other way - i've tried them all to use Odin because Kies was driving me mad) my PC does not recognise it.

I've tried updating drivers and the like, I've checked device manager and My Computer and nothing seems to work.

I'm still on Eclair and just want to upgarde to Froyo/Gingerbread.

Can anyone help?

A note that Odin3 v1.00 is also not recognising it.

Alright I've tried it on another computer that hasn't had Kies installed.

The same problem occured, the phone when going into download mode comes up and saiys 'Samsung USB Composite Device' but doesn't show up in Device Manager or Kies or My Computer.

I did some googling and found something about having to download BlackJack_WM6_1MR_Upgrade_For_XP' from the Samsung Download Center which since appears to have been removed from their website.

Any ideas?t

Are you using a custom Launcher?

If so please use the default launcher.
