Hi,
I just upgraded the android from 2.2 into 2.3.3 through Kies. The update was successful and easy. However I have a problem after the upgrade, I cannot connect to Kies after upgrade. When I connect my phone, Samsung Kies try to connect to my phone and after a while I got message "cannot start service on the device. please disconnect then reconnect the device".

I have tried to disconnect and connect again but doesn't work. I also have uninstall Kies through Control Panel and reinstall again but still doesn't work.

Please advise

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE USB DEBUGGING TURNED ON , ON THE PHONE.
THEN OPEN KIES FIRST AND HAVE KIES REINSTALL DRIVERS TO COMPUTOR.
PLUG IN USB AND IT SHOULD SEE PHONE AND CONNECT.

The upgrade is finicky.  I upgraded and then couldn't sync my Outlook Calendar (2010).  It would set it up but when it went to actually sync files it kept freezing.  The only way I could get the program closed was to re-start my computer. I eventually uninstalled it completely with my phone hooked up through the USB port and then re-downloaded the software from the Samsung/Kies site and started fresh.  After two attempts it finally re-installed correctly and works fine.

What a pain...next time I will think twice about upgrading!

I also. After upgrade Kies all configuration with outlook seems corrupted and when try to connect to outlook folders (contacts or calender or note ... or just enter to synch page and wait more that half of minute ) Kies failed without some exception or message. If auto synch check up as kies failed when connect smartphone.

It occured only after uipdate in previous versions its works.  Sad
Very BAD version.!!! And kies non stop recommend to install it!! Jokers  Evil

I found in achive old version of kies and now use it. Option of upgrade check off. Samsung need good QA team before recommend upgrades.

I too had problems with upgrade and I have re-loaded multiple times, finally got a connection to read the phone when I changed the USB setting to Samsung Kies from Ask on connection.  However now it stalls out at 40% of the preparing to Sync.

I love the phone but Kies is rapidly changing my impressing....I bought it because of syncing capacity

Saw the debug feature...but can't find out how to make sure it is turn on...where do I find it?
