When I try to synchronise my calendar with Outlook on my PC it puts my Outlook appointments onto my phone, but does not add any appointments I have made on my phone, to Outlook. Is this a bug or is there some way to set two-directional synchorisation?

Help!

I also have had problems with synching my calendar to and from Outlook 2010 to my Galaxy S. Some of my appointments are now doubled and tripled in both my phone and on my PC. Also now when I try to synch it only goes halfway and then gives an error message and won't finish. Even when it was working (for a month) it wouldn't move new appts from the phone to the PC.

Also my contacts in my phone are now mostly doubled also. GRRRRZZZ!!

Dear all Samsung Galaxy S2 User,
I believe many of you have the problem to sync your calender in your phone to the Outlook (I am using Outlook 2007).  I had the same problem before but it was solved.
I think the most important setting is the folder option and the period for your calender sync in Kies.
Kies is fine and works seamlessly; but you need to make sure it is properly setup.
Here is my steps to set it up and it works perfectly.
(1) Connect your phone in such a way you like.  (I used USB).
(2) Fire up your Kies and your phone must show itself as a Connected device. (if you cannot connect your phone, please find other discussion.  I believe others can help.)
(3) Click on your phone icon (mine is "GT-I9100) on the left panel and you will see a page on the right panel.
(4) Click on the "Sync" tab on the top of the panel.
(5) On the Personal Information section, please check "Sync Schedule with Outlook"
(6) Choose "Selected Schedule folder".  Then choose yours Calender.  Mine is "Personal Folder>Calender".  It may also work with the "All Schedules"  but I only have one calender in my Outlook 2007.
(7) Check "Sync Selected Folder " and pick the period that you would like to be sync.
** This is very important.  I cannot sync before because I did not specify a period.
(Eyes Rolling Click the Sync button on the top right hand corner.  Then everything in Outlook is exactly looked like as in your phone.

N.B.  Some people have complained about the duplicated entries in the Calender.  However this is not the case.  As you may have multiple accounts such as yahoo Calender or Google Calender, each account will be color-coded as what you can see in your Account section in the Settings section on your phone.  You can uncheck their Calender Sync options for each account. Then the duplication situation will be gone.

Hope this help many others having the same problem to sync their calenders with the phone.

Shalom.

I have a Galaxy S2 running Android version 2.3.3 and I am using Keis 2.1.0.11095.121_6.
I *was* using Keis version 2.0.3.11082.152.4 and it used to sync calendar from outlook on PC to phone regularly. One fine day, it found a new version and asked me if I want to update and I said 'Yes'. It installed a new version - 2.1.0.xxx.

After that, for last one month, I have been trying to sync my calendar from Outlook 2007 to the phone. However, it seems to sync only from my phone to the outlook. Further, for the entries it reads from the phone, it creates duplicate entries on the outlook.
I have not created any new entries on the phone calendar; so, for the entries that were transferred from the calendar to phone about a month back, it creates duplicate entries back in outlook every time I sync through Keis. It never transferred new entries from outlook to phone.

I have uninstalled Keis, cleaned up install directories, user's data directories and registry entries. I also installed the old version of Kies - 2.0.3.11082.152.4 where it synced calendar entries from outlook to phone once. It still does not work. I have cleaned up again and installed the Keis 2.1.0.xxx version.

BTW, I have had connection issues between my Keis and Phone and that I have solved. Now, even after each installation, there are absolutely no issues with connection. I have followed all the steps listed in this mail thread and still new entries from my outlook don't sync to phone.

Please help.

Regards,
--Alse

the solution suggested by ask636 seemed to be reasonable, until Kies - after downloading the new xxxxx version - wrote the error message: Cannot retrieve information for Outlook folder.

ask636,

do you have any solution for this?

Thanks in advance!
