1)What's the difference between Samsung Galaxy S(I9000) and Samsung Vibrant
Because I got the GT-I9000 one.
2)How do I select the swype type option because I don't have it.( I only have Qwerty Keypad,3x4 Keypad,Handwriting box 1 and 2)
3)How do I put music,video,pictures, etc..(I don't have a sd card in it, and what are the folders I have to create?)
4)How do I update my phone's firmware?
5)When I try to install kies, at step 4 it hangs (http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/8299/hangs.jpg

2. Go to any input screen, press it until you see a dialog box - select input method - you should see swype key option.

Try going to your main or home screen with the google search bar. Tap on the search bar, you'll then see your keypad, long press on the search bar until you see "Input Method," from there you can pick Swype. Get back to us again if you have problems.

Press the settings icons>locale and text>select input method. You have the option to chose withe SWYPE or Samsung.

If you can't use KIES, use the USB mode. Before you connect to the computer go to settings>about phone>USB settings>Mass storage. Here's the tricky part. Connect to CPU, wait for the cpu to download appropriate drivers, get back to the phone tap the top most part of the screen. A gray notification bar will scroll down. Tap the USB mode. A window should appear in your PC. Click on folders, you can put the pics, mp3, video in the media, audio and DCIM folders.

Updating firmware without KIES go to Samsungfirmware.com

Try downloading the the updated KIES in the same site. I find the mini disc that came with the phone to be buggy.

Ok nvm, I'm trying to install kies now and I THINK its starting to work. Its progressing at a VERY slow pace. XD
