My galaxys fell down to the floor  Crying and the screen and the digitizer are KO.

The poor phone is able to be turned on, but I cant see or use the screen.

I did not have the USB debugging mode on, nor the wifi or btooth and it was not rooted. Someone has any idea on how could i recover the data from the internal SD?

When I connect the galaxys to the pc via USB, I guess the option to choose the usb mode is being shown on the galaxys's screen, but no choice can be make of course.  The does not recognize the external storage which is connected.

I tried also to connect it to the TV with a cable, but the "output TV signal" option seems to not be activated either.

no more ideas from my side...

thanks in advance guys.

Hi Guys

Looking for a bit of help if possible (im new to this so would need your help in a basic form Happy)

I have a samsung galaxy si9000 and unfortunately the problem occurred over night. The phone was working fine the evening before but when I woke up it wouldn't turn on. I get lights on the soft keys at the bottom and occasionally hear the startup 'music' for samsung but the screen is just black. I cannot get onto the reboot screen and the 3 key combination (volume up/down (i tried both) + Home + Power) doesn't seem to put anything on the screen. The screen just stays black throughout. I really don't want to send it back to samsung as i know I will be charged an arm and a leg for this, especially when it wasn't really my fault, all I did was went to bed. Thanks and I look forward to any help

Stu

That last post bumped this thread up and has brought it to my attention.

@pedropcg: How do you know that the phone is turned on? Are you still getting notifications and sounds? As TomasR mentioned, there are several steps to connecting the phone to a PC. As you don;t have a working screen, you'll have to imitate the gestures assuming that they're working.

First of all, once the device is loaded up, unlock it. Depending on what the type of lockscreen you have (and hopefully it's this one http://betanews.com/wp-content/uploads/media/51/5159.jpg), you'll have to hope it works.

Then connect it to a PC that has sound. You should get a sound on the PC once the phone has (physically) connected.

If you've done this quick enough, the phone should give you the option to connect to USB storage which looks like this (stock Gingerbread ROM):

http://www.samsung.com/us/system/support/content/2012/06/19/h7053/NotificationPanel%5B0%5D.png

Roughly select "connect as a media device". Sometimes it doesn't need confirming so try accessing the visible drives in My Computer.

If not, this screen:

http://www.foxreal.com/article-images/s3-usb.png

Shows the location of the confirmation screen. Again roughly select the option and if you've done it right, you should get access to the drives.

HOWEVER, if the screen isn't working and it's not just a display but also a hardware issue, you won't be able to do any of this and the phone unfortunately terminal. A specialist is required to replace the screen.

Doesn't hurt to try though.

@stu4thfc: that's a strange one. Could you supply any other information? What were you doing before you "went to bed"? Did you install any apps, open emails, browse the web? Anything?

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.

Maybe you can try to use Android Data Recovery, a professional recovery tool helping you to restore deleted files or lost data directly from your Android phone. No matter they were saved on your SD card or the memory card inside your Android device, you are able to get them back. When you are taking the program to recover files, why not read a step-by-step guide of how to recover deleted files on Android that should do some help:
1. Connect your phone to computer then run Android Data Recovery
2. Enable USB debugging
3. Select the files to scan
4. Recover deleted files
The guide sounds easy, right? Although your the touchscreen and display of your phone has beem broken, you also can peroform data recovery from internal SD on your android phone with the assistance of Android Data Recovery.
