I have a new samsung galaxy. I have stored photos and music and now want to store some pictures from whiteboard. the message I get is that I need to check the sd card. I have no idea what to do. Need to check memory used and where things are stored. If I go to Applications - My Files, external sd says No files and internal sd says devicefriendlyname.txt. Nothing else!
If I go to Settings - SD I find  External SD - unavailable and Internal SD card - Total Space 5.78GB , Available Space 5.45GB

i am a beginner with this phone. The user manual does not help. Where are all my photos and music stored and how can I store my drawings?

Thanks

Put in your external SD card and wait a bit, then
menu>settings>SD card and phone storage and hit on "mount SD card".
