I might have done something myself but now I can not get any wifi of any kind.  It says it can't scan and wifi shuts off quickly after I turn it on.  I went into advanced, but I think I might have made things worse!

Please help me!

Can you take a screenshot of the Advanced Wi-Fi screen?

The only options I see is Network Notification and Keep Wi-Fi On During Sleep. I have Network Notification ticked and Always ticked in Wi-Fi Sleep section

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

Not sure which phone you have, but is it possible it's some kind of energy/battery saving setting? Maybe it turns on, can't find a wifi signal, then turns off. There are 3, I believe, different Galaxy S 1 phones. Plus, people keep coming on here for S 2 issues, though I believe there's a completely different forum for those.

There are specific forums for Galaxy S2 and S3 but this forum also likes to help.

There are a few variations of the GT-i9000 and I have the International version with the single physical home button.

Is it worth going through the settings and RESTORE TO DEFAULT everything? Failing that, do a backup and wipe!
