So the problem initially started while you were still on darky's 8.

can you confirm if voice is going out even though you can't hear your caller

Peace.

How did you do the update?
Did you pre-configure Darky's using "Darky ROM Configurator"?
Did you select "wipe"?
What kind of kernel did you use before the update?
Were Lagfixes on/off?

Ok just to reiterate for clarity.

The problem started once you installed Darky's 9.4

And if so were you able to make a single call without having to switch to speaker?

Peace.

no i was on darkys 8 for last 2 months with no issues phone was fully working ,then out of the blue i cant hear anyone when in a call cant even hear it ringing the person first, i have to either put speaker on or put headphones in,  i put darkys 9.4 on too see if that made a difference but hasnt all other sounds work all volumes are up

when i go into sgs tools audio test menu

speaker on  works
receiver on  not working (works with headphones
headset on   works
headset  l  and r   work
receiver headset options l and right work with headphones

to me i think in call speaker goosed

can this be replaced   thx  andy

Instead of trying it yourself I would suggest you first try and see if it can be taken care of under warranty.

I will look into it if it can be replaced as is.

Peace.

Issue duplicated here on Galaxy S I9000T:
Darky's 9.4 rom.

After linking with a Bluetooth headset, turning off headset, turning off bluetooth & *attempting* to use for phone calls, the other end can hear me, but I can't hear them.

Switching on speaker works fine.

Rebooting the unit makes it work again.

It's a Darky 9.4 issue.

Not possible the issue that OP is having is not software as it started when OP was on 8.0.

I have the same problem since I installed Darky ROM. Rebooting makes it work again but I don't know what's causing it to stop happening in first place! Crying

did you ever figure this out? Mine is doing the same thing. Speaker phone works, but no sound through the ear speaker. They can hear me. Phone is all stock, as it came from t mobile. Pulled batt/sim card, still no dice.

Is this a hardware issue? Can the ear speaker be replaced? How much does that cost?

Thanks!

If your phone is stock you may have a different problem. Are you close to a store or service center?
