Hi,

I did a screen replacement on my Galaxy S i9000. Everything was going well and I was ecstatic with having my fone back to life after the screen was cracked.

Anyway, after replacing the LCD Screen, everything was working, the fone booted up and I was able to access the fone's features. BUT after using it for only 2 hours, the screen suddenly went off. I thought it was normal but when I tried turning it back on, there were these tiny red, blue and green pixels everywhere on the screen. The Galaxy boot-up tone came on and I felt the fone vibrate but that was all. I had nothing displayed on the screen except these tiny pixels.

I could not even access the "downloading" menu or "reset" menu via the home+volume+power button. It did show up on odin when I tried the "downloading" option but the screen remained the same.

Please if anyone know what went wrong, can you be able to help me. I don't want to buy another replacement screen again though I'm seriously thinking of doing that.

I've attached a screen shot of the fone.

Thanks

Hi, how do you fix it?

That's a good point, maybe Skim should share how this issue was overcome

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.
