Hey fello galaxy owners...
Seems like I'm not the first one with poor sound and almost no vocals.
It is plugged in all the way.
I've tried about 5 pairs of earphones
I've checked volume
tried different music players
Help....any ideas?

I have a similar issue..I will plug in my headphones that came with my phone and will not hear anything.  I will jiggle the jack and twist and evenutally it makes a good connection.  Very frustrating tho if I am on a call or listening to music. I am currently searching for anyone that has a similar issue.

One of my friend too facing the problem like this that there is no audio sometimes. I think this can be solved by updating the phone (Android 2.3.4, hope you updated), or better you can check with qualified Samsung professionals.

Had the same problem, connected it all the way but could hardly hear anything, sometimes it was perfect though. Brought it to shop & they had the same problem. Realised later that you must push it in until you hear the click. No problems now but felt kind of stupid !
