I'm on my 2nd SGS phone. The 1st one I took back after 3 weeks when it started powering completely down randomly - even during a phone call.
So, I got a new phone, and after 2 weeks, I began to notice the screen would dim intermittently, and then go back to full brightness, and go back and forth. I notice this behavior about 50% of the time.
The guys that sold me the phone said when his phone does stuff like this, he re-seats the battery, and the problem goes away - until the next time of course :-)
I tried this, and the problem didn't go away at all. Happen right after I powered it back up.
Anyhow 2 questions:
1. wondering if others have run into this, and if so is there some sort of work aournd or did you have to swap the phone out or:
2. would you characterize this type of behavior as "normal" for smart phones - something you should have to live with? Phone guy at the store seems to think this way, but of course he's selling phones.
