My galaxy s is running 2.2 and now bluetooth and wireless will not turn on. When i use the soft buttons to turn on the wifi text under the buttons go on but the button doesn't go green and in the wireless settings under the text Wi-Fi there is the text error. For the bluetooth it does the same when using the soft button and in the accually bluetooth setting it says turning on then just stops and reverts back like i havn't even tried turning it on.

I have tried a soft reset and a battery pull and this has not fixed it...

Any advice would be great.

You can try factory reset: settings>privacy>factory reset

But, backup your data first.

I've just had exactly the same problem (though only with wireless) after 2 days of ownership -- I'm also in Australia.  Wireless said it was on, but the box in Android's pull-down menu never went green. When I accessed wireless under the Settings menu, it claimed it was off -- I told it to switch on, and after trying for a lengthy amount of time (up to a minute?) the word 'Error' was displayed under Wi-Fi.

In my case the problem went away when I switched off the phone off and on.  Is there any kind of firmware update out there that I might be missing?  If this happens again I think it's going back to the shop before I've fixed it.
