Hi there,i got some problem when upgrading to 2.2 froyo,I'm from Malaysia and it seems like froyo has already reach here.

The problem no is when I upgrading,my hp freeze at the droid pick dirt screen and on my pc it says failed to convert to uprade mode.can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Restart your computer and Unplug your phone then remove the Battery.

Now plug in your phone Kies will detect the failed attempt Click it and it will tell you to go into Download Mode.

Once in Download mode just follow the on screen instructions on Kies.

Peace.

Hi IronSingh,

Thank You.
I've rooted my phone and install BusyBox, too.
I copied "Galaxy_S Unlock.apk" to /sdcard/.
Must I simply click on the icon, and install?
After installing will I get a "APP"?
Is APP an application?
Running APP, can I save /efs folder?
I think I don't have it.

PS: In Hungary you are not able to buy any appl. paid on Market. I get a message:"The requested item could not be found." I've read somewhere, you can be a Root. How to get Root, to be able to buy and download?

Thanks.

Everyone has their reasons.

Doesn't matter why you do it.

If you are talking about buying apps from Market Download Market Access or Market Enabler.

Hi,

Thanks for ideas.
I managed to buy an app paid on the Market (I've downloaded the Market Enabler and installed). And now my SGS is -hopefully-unlocked (I have just had "Galaxy S Unlock" ran).
I'll try to fix the three buttons process to flash Froyo.

You dial those to test what your current Situation is.

*#7465625# should display OFF.

*2767*3855# Will do a Hard Reset and Wipe your phone.

Peace.

Saszseb

*#7465625# is to test Carrier or Sim lock. Dialing that should say Display "OFF" meaning that there is no SIM lock or Carrier Lock.

Your Display won't switch off, it will print out OFF or ON on the screen.

Peace.

Don't Worry, you can still enter Download mode the same way.

And Restart the process.

I remember when I first saw that screen, I freaked out I thought I had bricked my phone.

After calming down and reading thread after thread. I found the solution.

I will save you that, haha.

Peace.

Thanks for your help. I've just done it.
I've had a home screen. Should I make now a hard reset dialing *2767*3855#?
